According to new Agriculture Secretary Sonny Perdue, U.S. farmers and ranchers won’t be worse off after the Trump administration renegotiates the North American Free Trade Agreement. President Trump has successfully brought both presidents of Mexico and Canada to the bargaining table with threats of cancelling NAFTA. Secretary of Commerce Wilbur Ross has announced that duty taxes will be placed on sugar entering the U.S. on June 5th, unless a new agreement is reached.
