For Most people, retiring early typically means about age fifty five or sixty, rather than the traditional sixty five. But many millennials and Gen X'ers have a new target age:  They want to retire at forty. The younger generation’s radical solution is called “Financial Independence, Retire Early” and goes by the acronym FIRE. It has spawned an ecosystem of podcasts, blogs, books, conferences and informal discussion groups says the Wall Street Journal. One online forum dedicated to the FIRE concept, has more than 450,000 subscribers.
