Over the past few years we've seen a lot of publicity and news about the advent of the "robo advisor." These “robo advisors” are not like the robots that can clean your house or perform surgical procedures. The term “Robo advisor” is probably a misnomer. The accurate description would be a "low-cost, automated asset ALLOCATION program." A robo allocation system creates an asset allocation from data it is fed by humans.
