Ken Morgan joins the A-Team on Mastering Money for segment 1.  Sinclair and Steve dig into annuity fundamentals and why you need to be careful about annuity nicknames. The terms "hybrid" and "new generation" are simply nicknames for the same class of annuities--Fixed Index Annuities (FIAs). Don't be fooled!  Always ask the advisor this question point blank:  "Is this a Fixed Index Annuity?"  While it can be harmless to nickname annuities in some cases, state regulators only recognize four annuity terms:  immediate, variable, fixed, and fixed index. The marketer is crossing the line when the attempt is made to make the consumer believe that he or she has some special new annuity class.  Be smart. In the Q & A,  Steve answers questions on just what the Comdex score is, when it is useful, when it is not, and how it can be used improperly by agents.
